When you have a coworker with high-functioning Depression, you may never know that they are experiencing it. This is because they may not realize that they have Depression themselves. They have adapted by finding purpose and identify as being the “go to” or “work horse.” When they don’t have work to drive and distract them, they feel empty, alone, and at times unworthy. From a cultural standpoint, they may not identify with the term “depression” and may struggle with constant existential crises. #highfunctioningdepression #HFD #impostersyndrome #depression #existentialcrisis #shorts #psychiatry
