I’ve done this a little differently as I thought I’d follow the route in from the direction of Pevensey beach where William of Normandy landed. Whilst obviously not exact, it certainly gave more perspective on the topography and the lie of the land and more a sense of the area and the history. I’m really glad I did it this way. The site itself is brilliantly managed and just full of history. So glad I went. Also I might have been looking at parts of East Sussex and thinking it was Kent as I could see so far and the campsite owner kept saying I was looking at Kent!! Superb and hope you enjoy my take on it!! Paul
