Any way you look at it Ethereum single-handedly brought back GPU mining, and really ushered in the golden era of mining of 2017-2018, and if you were an early adopter of GPU mining ETH in 2016 and you held your Ethereum coins... you're probably retired! One of the key factors when it comes to GPU mining Ethereum is the grassroots impact it can have, it allows essentially anyone to participate in supporting the ETH network and getting rewarded with some Ether for doing so.
