The fog cutter is a classic staple of the tiki cocktail phenomenon.
As with a lot of other tiki cocktails, this one is known for being a bit boozy.
This is how to make it low carb.
2 oz white rum
.5 oz gin
.5 oz brandy
1.5 oz simply lite orange juice (2.25 net carbs)
1.5 oz fresh lemon juice (2.5 new carbs)
.5 oz monin sugar free almond syrup
.5 oz amontillado sherry
Add everything but the sherry to a shaker and shake with ice for 30 seconds.
dump everything into a tall glass and top with sherry and a mint sprig for garnish.
I think that adding the sherry to the shaker creates a better cocktail because having the sherry on top is a little too bold to have to go through before getting to the light flavors of the cocktail. (just my opinion)
