Actor Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park) presents the Writers Guild of America, West Valentine Davies Award to acclaimed screenwriter-director Richard Curtis (Love Actually, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Bridget Jones’s Diary) for his humanitarian service and charitable efforts around the globe.
The Valentine Davies Award is given to the Writers Guild of America, West member whose contributions to the entertainment industry and the community-at-large have brought dignity and honor to writers everywhere.
The Writers Guild Awards West Coast ceremony was hosted by actor-writer-comedian Patton Oswalt (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Veep) on February 19, 2017 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
The Writers Guild Awards honor outstanding writing in film, television, new media, videogames, news, radio, promotional, and graphic animation categories.
