This edit removes the portion where Hux slaps Finn in the face. In general, men do not slap other men (or women). If men hit men, it's usually with a fist. Using Hux to slap Finn seems to be an attempt to reduce the masculinity of Hux, which was on full display in the previous film TFA. By having Hux simply walk up to Finn, he somehow becomes more intimidating in our opinion. This also creates consistency between how we see the character here and how he is portrayed in TFA.
