"Go In Peace" is a powerful song written by Sam Baker sometime after he had a near-death experience in 1986 when a bomb placed by the Shining Path guerrilla group exploded in the luggage rack above his head of a train he was traveling in. The blast killed 11 of his fellow passengers including three that were sitting with him.
I was invited to sing and play this piece with Tim Mowry and Matt Harris at the annual Memorial Day service in Harrisville, New Hampshire on May 26, 2024. As I prepared for this performance, I kept thinking about one of my spiritual guides on the road of life who is in hospice and nearing the end of his earthy journey: Fr. James (Arnold) Bernstein. I dedicate this performance to Fr. James, and I thank Tim and Matt for joining me on this video.

Lyrics below:
Go in Peace
by Sam Baker
Go in peace
Go in kindness
Go in love
Go in faith
Leave the day
The day behind us
Day is done
Go in grace
Let us go
Into the dark
Not afraid
Not alone
Let us hope
By some good pleasure
Safely to
Arrive at home
Let us hope
By some good pleasure
Safely to
Arrive at home
