Today we are sharing a recipe of Balushahi. Balushahi is one of traditional Indian sweets or Mughlai dish, which is popular all over India, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladeshi cuisine.
In south india its known as balusha recipe. Other than this is called khurmi recipe, khaja, Badusha recipe, or Balushai Misti Recipe and it is made using all purpose flour, ghee and Yogurt.
This sweet is crispy from outside, and has a moist or soft and flaky texture from inside. It is usually made for the special sweet dish recipe in festivals or occasions like weddings, eid, diwali, holi, Rakhi or Raksha bandhan and spread happiness.
INGREDIENTS:
All purpose flour - 1 1/2 cup
Baking Powder - 1/4 tsp
A pinch of Salt
Ghee - 1/4 cup
Yogurt - 4 tbsp
Milk - 4 tbsp
For Syrup
Sugar - 2 cups
Water - 1 cup
Milk - 1 1/2 tbsp (to purify sugar)
Pistashio to garnish
