Atlanta's Young Nudy has already collaborated with some of the hottest rappers in his hometown on his recent Nudy Land mixtape, with Lil' Yachty and Offset as the project's only guests. But it took a little bit of effort to track down the most consistent name in the credits, Pi'erre Bourne, who produced nine of the project's 13 songs. Nudy dropped by the MASS APPEAL HQs for the latest episode of Open Space, speaking about his long history with the beatsmith.
"His ass disappeared for a year!" says Young Nudy. "I had to find this nigga, pushed up on him. We did what we do. We came up together."
According to Nudy, Pi'erre took his music seriously back when Nudy was still "playing around with it" and getting into trouble with the law. Soon enough, he got serious about his craft, developing a tireless in-studio work ethic that he describes as being a "rapaholic."
Check out the episode of Open Space above, as Young Nudy speaks about his music, Atlanta street life, and the enduring impact that 'Grand Theft Auto' has had on the culture.
