Last week, the fuse blew on my VIC-20, and due to the uncommon size and type, I had to order some. The cost for a 5mmx20mm 3A time delay fuse (the type specified in the manual)? Forty-eight US cents in quantity of 10. (And yes, I "found" my video cable... on eBay, the place where I buy the things I later regret™.)
That's less than 50¢ to potentially fix an awesome vintage computer... could it be? Or will MOS Strike Back (as is often the case for early Commodore computers)?
Will the VIC-20 blow the new fuse? Will I find a likely bad Kernel ROM in the VIC-20? You'll have to watch to find out!
