DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - Firefighters say a person was found dead in a house fire in Delhi Township Wednesday. The Hamilton County Coroner identified her Thursday as Rhonda Dulle, 59.
Firefighters were called to a home on Tahoe Terrace off of Cleves Warsaw Pike around 12:30 p.m. That's where crews found Dulle's body, but it may not have been the fire that killed her. Her body reportedly was already decomposing.
Dulle's son, who's in his 20s, escaped the fire and was the one who told firefighters his mother was inside.
"With her son, the situation, his disabilities has made it very hard to figure out what's going on. So, we're trying to make him at ease, trying to understand what went on. But, there's nothing that's suspicious on his part at this time. Just trying to get to the facts of the case," said Delhi Fire Chief Doug Campbell.
Firefighters also saved a dog from the fire.
