Born in Bandung, Indonesia, Asep started playing the guitar as a child and played his first concert at the age of sixteen. 20’000 people attended his gig at the Bandung Gladiator Rock Festival.
"My life is too nice here“ he thought many times.
By the age of eighteen he left Indonesia with nothing but a guitar, a little amplifier and some clothes. He wanted to start a music-carreer in the UK and toured the country with his original band „Stone Free“.
2004 he was invited to play a Jimi Hendrix Tribute Show alongside original Hendrix-Bassist Noel Redding. The concert was broadcasted live on BBC.
„Playing with Asep is the closest thing to playing with Hendrix“,Redding said after that performance.
In 2007 Asep moved to Zurich, Switzerland and started touring the world with his original music aswell as his famous Hendrix Alive-Show.
The Asep Stone Experience brings woodstock to all kinds of stages and events.
