Two news cut-ins during CBS' Early Show, airing on WRGB (channel 6) in Schenectady, NY (serving Albany). The Early Show had only been on the air for a few months at the time.
Ed O'Brien anchors the news, with Tom Mailey doing weather as well as Michelle Adams doing traffic reports. Ed was WRGB's longtime morning anchor since the early 90s, and stayed in the position until his passing in 2015. He was definitely a great anchor to wake up to and was a worthy rival of Phil Bayly over at WNYT.
Couple of notes here: they were still using "First News" for their morning show, which they had as their branding from day one until they switched it to a generic name alongside the "CBS6" logo change. The set TVs also still have the 1998 opens playing on them, when they still used In-Sink.
The CBS Enforcer is the news theme, and Jeff David is the voiceover. Aside from WRGB, David voiced several CBS O&Os, including flagship WCBS in New York City.
