I was riding the mower last week and the blades stopped turning. Snap, the spring broke on the deck engagement cable. I decided to study and try to repair the cable myself. I found a reputable cable replacement at Home Depot with a one-year warranty. I read to beware of cheap replacement cables as they are failing after one or two uses. The cable was an easy replacement although I had to work my hands in tight places to get the ends of the cable attached. Be sure to take before and after pictures!
