Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said the central bank may need to make monetary policy "somewhat less restrictive over the forecast period," indicating the possibility of rate cuts sharper than markets expect. The BOE governor made his comments after the UK central bank voted 7-2 to keep the base interest rate at 5.25%, a decision announced Thursday in London.
