An underwater photographer captured the moment a flatworm looked like a shiny red ribbon as it swam above the ocean floor.

Scuba diver instructor Gregor Irvine, 27, from Essex, was exploring the Lembeh Strait in Indonesia, a spot famous for its rich marine life, when he encountered the stunning creature.

Gregor was able to capture footage of the flatworm beginning to swim and creating a mesmerizing ribbon pattern in the water.
