Period full red leather, nicely bound books, gilt decorated inner dentelles, all edges gilt, lovely typography in red & black ink.
Group of three (3) different seasonal (of four) volumes of the Breviarium Romanum, the liturgical book of rites of the Catholic Church. They provided the clergy with the official daily liturgy. Each book represents a season and stands complete unto itself (the final volume, winter, is not included in the group).
Books published in the 1950's, before the reforms of Vatican II.
Each volume is in Latin, two color printing.
Books measure: 7 5/8" H X 4 1/2" W.
