Windows 11 PC acting up? If so, try resetting it with Cloud Download!

IMPORTANT NOTE: BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE STEPS, CREATE A TEMPORARY FULL BACKUP OF ALL YOUR DATA!

Do you experience issues with starting up or shutting down, excessive memory usage, performance running apps, battery draining quickly? When any of this happens, resetting to factory settings will come in handy.

HOW TO FACTORY RESET WINDOWS 11 USING KEEP MY FILES OPTION
Use the following steps to reset your computer with the “Cloud Download” option on Windows 11:
1. Open Settings.
2. Click on Update & Security.
3. Click on Recovery.
4. Under the “Reset this PC” section, click the Get started button.
5. Click either the "Keep my files" OR "Remove everything" option.
6. Click the "Cloud Download" option.
7. [OPTIONAL] Click the Change settings option.
8. Turn on the "Download Windows?" toggle switch.
9. [OPTIONAL] Turn on the "Clean data?" toggle switch (if applicable).
10. Click the "Confirm" button.
11. Click the "Next" button.
12. Click the "Next" button again.
13. Click the "Reset" button.

Once you complete the steps, the feature will take over and reset your device to default settings by erasing and reinstalling a fresh copy of Windows 11 downloaded from cloud. The time of completion will depend on your computer hardware configuration and the reset options that you selected.

Alternatively, you can also access the “Cloud download” option from the Advanced startup environment when you can’t start Windows 11 normally.

The ability to use the locally available recovery option will continue to exist, but if that option doesn’t work, or the user prefers to use the all-new beautiful Windows 11, the new cloud download will provide an easy way to reset their device.

Once you complete the steps, the device will reset to the factory settings preserving your files during the process.

AFTER FACTORY RESET STEPS
After the reset completes, you'll still need to check for updates to make sure that Windows 11 isn't missing any security, patches, or drivers, and you'll need to reinstall some apps.
