Fears of a looming famine have gripped residents of the north eastern corridor after a swarm of locusts reported to have migrated from the neighbouring Somalia swept clean vegetation in the region.
Residents in Wajir and Mandera counties are now staring at possible starvation as the dreaded locusts have invaded their farms.
Legislators from the two regions are calling on the government and the international community to help address the situation before it is too late.
