Davina McCall 'is set to join forces with Dragon's Den star Steven Bartlett to launch a new wellness podcast'
Davina McCall is reportedly planning to launch a podcast with Dragon Den's star and friend Steven Bartlett.
The Masked Singer judge, 56, appeared on the entrepreneur's famous podcast Diary Of A CEO, where she candidly opened up about her previous addiction - leading to the beginning of a friendship between the pair.
And it seems now that the pair hit off so well, sources are now telling The Mirror that the TV favourite has been signed up to be one of Steven's 'major partners' in his successful podcast network.
It seems the British CEO, 31, will back Davina on her journey to build a brand-new wellness podcast, which will be launched on his network.
'Davina is one of Steven’s first major signings for his network and they are working together on ideas for the podcast,' a source told the publication.
The duo seemed to 'really hit it off' following's Davina appearance on his podcast and since then joined forces and discussed how to team up.
'Davina’s passion for health and fitness made a podcast about wellness an obvious choice. They are both really excited about the project and can’t wait to get started later this year,' the source added.
The TV star appeared on Steven's podcast in January 2023, where she opened up on a series of intimate topic including the death of her sister and her addiction in young age, and even shared her opinion on cancel culture.
The former Big Brother host broke down in tears as she recalled her late half sister's death from lung cancer during the candid interview.
The presenter couldn't hold back emotion as she discussed the final days of her sibling Caroline's life saying: 'It was the worst thing that's ever happened to me'.
During the wide-ranging interview the former heroin addict also openly discussed her tumultuous upbringing, drug addiction and how she even did cocaine with her mum when she was just 12 years old.
The most emotional moment came however when she discussed her sister's death age 50 in 2012 after she was diagnosed with lung cancer, bone cancer and was told by doctors that she had two tumors on her brain.
Davina found Caroline paralysed on the floor one morning after a bout of ill health and took her to hospital where she got the devastating diagnosis that she had just months to live. Davina then cared for Caroline at her home until she passed away.
The TV star said of her death as her voice broke: 'I wish she was here so I could tell her how great life is. I never thought she would die at 50, she was a great person, she still had so much more to give. It was the worst thing that has ever happened to me.
'She taught me so much in her death, she tried to look after me, she was so brave, she never cried and she never complained.'
She added: 'In her final days she let me change her and put her to bed which she never did, she never wanted me to see her naked. Even when she was dying she gave me that of herself that I had never had before and it was so nice.
'That night she was so distressed and she was calling me mummy, then she slept for three days and I was with her when she passed and it was really lovely - I kept on talking to her the whole time as your hearing is the last thing that goes.
'I wanted her to know that I was going to be fine that's what I kept repeating. Because after everything she was still worried about me, she knew how much of a backbone she was for me. So I kept telling her I was going to be fine.'
On the podcast Davina also described in detail about her Caroline's deteriorating health and the lead up to her diagnosis.
The star explained: 'She was a bit secretive. She had just had her 50th birthday, she accidentally walked into a door once and was always dropping things, she was forgetful, she had a bad back. I didn't know if was menopause but I knew something was up.
'One morning she had been shouting for help and I went in the door and she had been on the floor all night, she had soiled herself and was paralysed in half her body, I called an ambulance but they said it wasn't a stroke.
