Multiple aerial time-lapse clips shot over the Mueller community in Austin, Texas. Each sequence offers a unique angle and aerial maneuver, showcasing a visually striking perspective of the landscape. Or at least, I like to think so.
Each clip is composed of hundreds of individual RAW (DNG) photos, all meticulously color corrected and exported as TIFF files before being assembled into sequences in Premiere Pro. Then, I punish the Warp Stabilizer, providing it with a series of wind-battered, mismatched stills. It tries its best, but even the mightiest tools have their limits. Once "stabilized," I duplicate each sequence into a fresh, empty timeline. While the original 3:2 resolution stands at a proud 5568x3648, the new sequence is scaled down to a more approachable 16:9 (4096x2304), reducing the footage to about 75% of its original size and cropping a fair bit of the top and bottom mattes. The smoothest of the gaggle, not most of them, are exported in ProRes 4444 and posted for sale.
A few clips may show a bit of jumpiness—just a friendly reminder of the importance of timing. Any bouncing you see is thanks to the relentless wind and my refusal to admit defeat and reshoot in better conditions.
