The Pakenham/Cranbourne lines were partially occupied on Sunday June 4 2023 for train tests.
The testing was on High Capacity Signalling; or widely known as Communications Based Train Control. It allows trains to run closer together by using moving-block technology around the trains instead of a conventional fixed-block system.
