Shri Meenakshi Pancharatnam stotra was composed by Sri Adi Shankaracharya and it beautifully describes the attributes of the Goddess. . ‘Meenakshi’ is a combination of two root words; ‘mina’ meaning fish and ‘aksi’ meaning eyes.
The fish does not blink the eyes and steadfastly looks on, similarly Goddess Meenakshi glances and looks after her devotees without taking or shutting her eyes. This grace also earns Her the name ‘Angayarkanni’… fish like eyes.
The main temple of Goddess Meenakshi Devi is the Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Tamilnadu.
If is said that listening and chanting this hymn will bestow great favours from the Goddess and remove your worries
