Why do my eye sockets hurt?
Eye socket or Orbital pain can be experienced as an ache behind or in the eye. Some causes may include.
Optic neuritis, or an inflammation of the optic nerve.
Sinusitis
Migraines
Toothaches
or an injury or Trauma to the eye
If a person experiences orbital pain along with any of the following symptoms, such as;
Redness of the white of the eye,
The irregular shape of the pupil,
Bulging or protrusion of the eye,
Swelling or redness of the surrounding eye tissue,
Eye discharge,
and, Limitation of movement of the eye.
They should consult with their eye doctor for a proper diagnosis.
