A group of key civil society partners and experts have drafted a set of Ten Human Rights Principles for a Pandemic Treaty as a vehicle for shaping the deliberations over a proposed new instrument and the initiation of any new treaty negotiation process.

The Principles are intended as a starting point, a common denominator that brings the maximum number of diverse but allied civil society groups and activists together and to articulate clear baselines upon which to collectively advocate with states and WHO to incorporate human rights into the treaty negotiation agenda from the outset and establish clear mechanisms for meaningful civil society consultation in #AJustPandemicTreaty.
