MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Wednesday, Mobile's City Council voted to spend $18,500 on the city's annual Fourth of July fireworks display. The vote passed six to one, with Bess Rich voting against it.
The fireworks can be best seen from Battleship Park. that's also where the Mobile Pops perform each year.
Last year the city spent more than $18,000 on the fireworks display.
