This is a yoga video for beginners, people new to yoga and a good introduction to Vinyasa Yoga. Vinyasa is my favorite way to practice yoga because it keeps me moving and helps me stay focused on my breath so I don't get bored or distracted. If you're new to yoga, this is a fun little flow class for you where we slowly break down the components of vinyasa style yoga.
Vinyasa means to carefully place, and often times vinyasa classes link breath and movement so you "flow" (not unlike a dance!). Vinyasa is also used to refer to the chaturanga - updog - downdog transition.
Try this basic 20 minute class as an introduction to vinyasa if you're a beginner, or as a review and focus on alignment and proper form. Enjoy! Class is taught by Helen Cloots.
