You mentioned there you're breastfeeding now and you're wondering if you can use acne treatments or treatments for stretch marks. These are all good questions for your pediatrician who can talk to you about the certain types of products you're wanting to use and determine if they're safe for nursing. When it comes to stretch marks, though, there's a couple of different things to know. A lot of research has been done on whether or not creams and lotions will reduce the appearance of stretch marks. In some cases, they might reduce them over time but there's not necessarily anything you can do to prevent them. Like during pregnancy, everyone wants to know "what can I rub on my belly to prevent me from getting stretch marks?" It all comes down to the elasticity of your skin. That has more to do with it than anything else. However, if there's a cream out there you want to try and it's not super expensive, then it might be worth a shot. Do know that over time, the appearance of stretch marks diminishes anyway. They go from being darker in appearance to lighter. They fade. So hopefully this is reassuring to you.
