Erastus Mbijiwe, one of the security officers who drove retired president Daniel Arap Moi from Nakuru to Nairobi during the attempted coup in 1982 was laid to rest today after passing on one week ago. Mbijiwe was the Rift Valley Provincial Police officer at the time of the coup.
