It seems that Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs share the same universe. An interview by [ Ссылка ] [ Ссылка ] with AC4 dev Ash Ismail revealed that there are easter eggs linking the two.

This videos shows one easter egg in Assassin's Creed 4, and one from a Watch Dogs trailer that link the two games.
