Prime Minister Peter O'Neill has step down from the top job and has handed over the reigns to Sir Julius Chan, leader of Peoples Progress Party.
A veteran politician and Prime Minister in previous governments, Sir Julius was heavily criticised for the Sandlines crisis in 1997 and resigned then as Prime Minister.
Peter O'Neill is yet to tender his resignation but looked relaxed in a conference this afternoon as he handed over the leadership to Sir Julius Chan.
