Here is a quick tip on the importance and how to use a stitch marker when crocheting continuous rounds (aka spiral crochet).

A disadvantage of crocheting continuous rounds is it can be difficult to determine where one round ends and the next round begins.  It’s easy to lose track.  That is why for this crochet method you should use a stitch marker.  The stitch marker lets you know when you have completed a round.
