Duel Masters was created as an evolution of Magic to appeal to the Japanese market and compete with Yugioh and Pokemon. Given that both are hugely influential games in their own right, it's worthwhile to investigate where they've done things differently, and why. Part 2 picks up from part 1 and looks at:

It has been a really slow summer so far. I can't even say I've been accomplishing much behind the scenes either - it's just enjoying the weather when I can and turning into a content binging potato when I can't. After finishing Train to the End of the World (pretty good, surreal and quite fun, and really sticks the ending), I've started watching the Nier Automata anime next, and while it's really good, I can't help but feel like I'm just supposed to be playing the game instead.I've also been playing a fair bit of vintage cube and picked up a copy of Sword Rondo to try on the advice of a well-composed comment - it looks like exactly the kind of game I really like, so I'm excited to try it. Finally, it turns out an LGS just opened a few blocks away from me, so hopefully it sticks around for a while.
