A wandering mind is exhausting. It's like we all have a hamster running on a hamster wheel in our brain 24/7. The brain never gets a break and it's all because our minds have become habitual wanderers. Some scientific studies have even shown that 90% of our thoughts are repetitive and mostly negative.
When we are able to rest our attention on one focal point for an extended period of time, we invite a deep a level of peace into our lives. Our minds can rest, our bodies can heal, and we can have more energy, both physically and mentally. By training our body's natural ability to focus and extend our attention span, every single aspect of life becomes easy and stress free.
Our minds evolved to wander due to them always having to be prepared for danger. In a way, this is a trauma response that all of humanity still hasn't healed from yet.
