Two lessons learned on this hunt. First, range the buck twice and shoot once ;) I messed up on my range and dialed for 450yds and the buck was 400yds resulting in a high miss on the first shot and a high hit on the second shot (my bullet drops 17" between 400-500yds). I was lucky to get this buck after that mistake! Second, I got a new phone right before the hunt and didn't test my videoing with the new cameras. As a result, my phone kept trying to auto focus and most of the footage I captured looks like it's pulsing...that's the phone trying to re-focus. To lock the auto focus, simply tap & hold in the middle of the screen until the AE/AF Lock turns on (for iPhone users).
