We do not get to choose all of the circumstances of our lives. We cannot select where we are born or the language we first learn how to speak, and as with so many other things we are powerless when it comes to unexpected changes in our circumstances. In a talk half sadness half hope, architect turned tech creator Verónica Celis Vergara, explains how your most painful memory can be turned into your driving force. Because when we face change we can either stick to fear or learn from it. Veronica is a Chilean architect and tech4good entrepreneur. She is the founder and CEO of EnlightAID, a tech firm providing real-time transparency to the use of donations. In this role, she has established partnerships in three continents, along with being the designer of the technology and the spokesperson for the company.
Verónica is a LEED® GA Accredited Architect with a Masters in Landscape and Territorial Design, having international experience in architectural design, sustainable consulting and project management. Among other recognitions, she was named MIT's Top Innovators Under 35 in 2020 and as one of the top innovators of Latin America and the Caribbean by the Interamerican Development Bank in 2018.
