Also, it’s pronounced ‘Legeet’ and not legit as in legitimate, though with the rich buttery flavours in all 20 layers of this cake, you can’t help but say that this cake is indeed, “legit.”

Marcella continues to bake these cakes the way her grandmother used to but often adds a little twist to tradition with her salted egg flavour and nutella flavour creations.
