Dr. Joel Fuhrman is getting the facts straight about fat and protein intake on a Nutritarian diet.
What they say is true: not all plant-based diets are created equal. There is one out there that's right for you. And just in case you're wondering...
The Nutritarian diet emphasizes the consumption of nutrient-dense foods like greens, beans, onions, mushrooms, berries, and seeds on a daily basis. Unlike a whole food plant-based diet, the Nutritarian diet places a particular emphasis on selecting foods with higher micronutrient levels over those with fewer nutrients.
And while both diets minimize processed foods, the Nutritarian diet takes it a step further by striving for high nutrient density in all food choices.
Here's Dr. Fuhrman on why you shouldn't worry about getting enough protein or fat with this way of eating.
