MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WKRC) - Two teenage boys charged in connection to a fire at a Middletown church appeared in Butler County Juvenile Court on February 8.
One of the teens is charged with arson after flames badly damaged the Tytus First Avenue Church of God on January 22. The damage forced the daycare to close .
On Wednesday, the judge granted a request for a competency evaluation for the 16-year-old.
The other teen is charged with receiving stolen property from the church. His attorney asked the judge to release him to his parents. But the judge denied the request.
