These are the stanzas, extracted by me not in the exact order, from Vincenzo Licata's poem "Sciacca" and translated from the Sicilian. I believe that no other words are needed to describe the enchanted beauty of Sciacca, lying in the midday sun on the Agrigento coast of Sicily.
I love you because you are beautiful, my Sciacca,
For this light that your sea emanates.
Because you gave me the poem
With the work of these sailors.
Watching yourself a little from this sea
It seems that you come down from the valley
Because all this blue you want to embrace
To give him a kiss from the heart.
I love you for your respectful people
Which has a soul that is always refreshed
From this portentous Marina of ours
Always illuminated by a golden sun.
Because in front of you I feel small
How little I feel with mom
Sciacca, beautiful country, eternal flame,
I greet you, I hug you and bless you.
The song "Maree" is by Kai Engel and is available on the Free Music Archive.
A special thanks to Mrs. Santina of the b & b "The window on the courtyard" for the exquisite and perfect hospitality in times of pandemic.

In Covid time, with my Olympus being repaired, I used the old Canon Legria for this video, companion of many adventures. It served to remind me of its excellent qualities. A few clips were filmed with the GoPro Hero 7.
For post-production I used Cyberlink PowerDirector suite 5.
The photos are by Francesca Sparatore, taken with a Nikon D7500.
