A BRICS summit was held in Beijing , China in which the National Security Advisors of all BRICS nations were present . After day-long deliberations over improving cooperation in a number of areas, the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) NSAs met Chinese President Xi jinping and interacted with him. Ajit Doval's visit comes in the wake of the ongoing border stand-off between India and China at Doklam near the India-China-Bhutan trijunction.
