Earigator/Irrigating Myths Debunked

Myth: It was cause dizziness.
Truth: If water is set to body temperature, it should not. Seven degrees more or less than body temperature can cause vertigo.

Myth: It will cause ear infections.
Truth: Water in the ears by default should not cause ear infections. It's important to clear out water bubbles in the ear canal afterwards (which we routinely do). Irrigation is contraindicated (a big no-no) for people with eardrum perforations, surgical ears, and with a history of outer ear infections.

Myth: "I can do this at home."
Truth: Yes you can, with at home kits (if it is safe for you and your ears) but *please* be so careful with the water pressure.
