Many believe that Jin's parry is a gamebreaking UBER overpowered move that destroys everything if used correctly. However, I believe that it is a gimmick, but a useful one.

Every good Jin player uses it in neutral, due to its fast startup it might be a preferred option in some situations (as opposed to more buttons or sidestep). As far as the stance transitions-conversions go - there is not much you can do there. Same goes for 99% of the strings, you can either step or duck to launch them properly, however in certain instances parry is much easier and safer option.

In situations where your opponent is about to do Leo ws4 1+2 or Dragunov's 113 string - you can get a free shot at it and if it works - go straight for the launch.

So, it other words. It is useful, but not really overpowered. Good tool, but is not a deal breaker.
