The Su-25 Frogfoot is Russia’s most effective close-air support aircraft to date. It has seen intense combat as far back as the 1980s, and the current Russian Special Military Operation in Eastern Europe has been no exception.

The Frogfoot has faced tenacious resistance from the Ukrainian defenses, which has led to multiple shootdowns by anti-aircraft fire and jet fighters.

And in an impressive moment captured on camera in December of 2022, a Su-25 aircraft with a seemingly malfunctioning landing gear can be seen carefully approaching a landing strip in an attempt to land belly first.
