All New 2025 BMW M2 Unveiled: The Icon is Reborn
BMW's iDrive system upgrades to the latest operating system 8.5, and the 14.9-inch infotainment screen takes the place of physical buttons for temperature functions, including seat heat and ventilation. New controls and cosmetics include a flat-bottomed steering wheel with red center marking and leather or synthetic leather upholstery, as well as heating. In addition to the M Carbon bucket seats, which were previously exclusively available as part of the optional Carbon Package, you can now get them on their own, and the black Vernasca leather M Sport seats also have red accent highlight stitching. The number of exterior finishes available for customization has increased, and now includes Sao Paulo Yellow, Vegas Red metallic, Portimao Blue metallic, Skyscraper Grey metallic, Frozen Pure Grey metallic, and Frozen Portimao Blue II metallic, among many others. As an additional option, BMW offers Grigio Telesto Pearl Effect metallic, Java Green metallic, Voodoo Blue, and Twilight Purple Pearl Effect metallic as part of their Individual paint treatment program.
Even though technology is always advancing, the 2025 BMW M2 expertly retains the brand's signature unadulterated and satisfying driving experience. Powering the vehicle is the brand's signature 3.0-liter inline-six engine, which has been upgraded with dual turbochargers to produce 473 horsepower, an increase of 20 horsepower compared to the previous M2. Considering the last M2 managed 3.9 seconds in C/D testing, it's safe to assume that the 2025 M2 will be able to shave a few tenths of a second off that time. BMW claims that the 2025 M2 with the manual transmission can reach 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. Despite its respectable drag-strip performance, the M2 is more at home on longer sweepers and nips at tight apexes, which contribute significantly to its allure.
Starting at $66.075, you may own a 2025 BMW M2.
The conventional six-speed manual transmission is obviously the way to go. It elevates a superb driver's car to a whole new level. If we often attended track days at facilities with especially long straightaways, we would consider adding the M Driver's Package to our M2 to increase its peak speed to 177 mph from 155 mph without it. On the other hand, the M2 is really well-tuned and exciting to drive straight from the lot.
