Apex Legends' Season 21 update brings significant enhancements to Newcastle, one of the game’s defensive legends. The update focuses on improving his protective abilities, making him a more formidable force on the battlefield. Here’s a breakdown of the updates to Newcastle’s kit:

Mobile Shield Improvements:
Increased Throw Animation Speed: Newcastle’s mobile shield can now be deployed approximately 2.5 times faster than before. This change allows Newcastle to react more quickly to threats, providing immediate cover for himself and his teammates during critical moments.
Castle Wall Enhancements:
Projectile Destruction: The energized Castle Wall will now destroy incoming projectiles that hit the front of the wall. This includes grenades and other similar items, though it will not affect projectiles coming from behind the wall or bombardments from other legends' ultimates.
Extended Energized Duration: The duration of the Castle Wall’s energized state has been increased from 30 seconds to a full minute, offering prolonged protection.
Stronghold Upgrade: The Stronghold perk, which further extends the energized duration, has been improved to last three minutes, up from 2.5 minutes. This upgrade enhances Newcastle’s ability to hold strategic positions and defend key locations for longer periods.
