Logo is a revolutionary programming language created by Seymour Papert, Cynthia Solomon, and Wally Feurzeig created in 1967 with the goal of teaching simple programming concepts.
In this video, we discuss the history of Logo and how it helped bring Apple Computers to schools in the 80s and 90s.
Maccy and Ms. Fox discuss the Logo programming language and its impact on computers in education.
Join us for a little history lesson, followed by a mini Logo tutorial and demonstration!

I HIGHLY recommend you check out turtlespaces.org - their work is really brining the Apple II interpretation of LCSI’s logo into the 2020’s. I didn’t have time to cover it, but I will get Maccy to cover it on a future episode!
Also, I discovered Cynthia Solomon’s blog in the middle of editing this episode - she is a pioneer in computer science.
Anyone who watches this video should check out her blog for more information on her experiences creating Logo.
