Everyone has heard the myth that you cannot start your poppy seeds inside in containers and then re-transplant them when the weather permits due to their taproots.
Well throw that myth away!
Every year people start their carrots, beets, and other plants with taproots then transplant to the garden when the weather gets better. The poppy is no different, this beautiful flowering plant with taproots work the same way. You may lose a couple of the seedlings, yes but only a few. So let me show you how I start my poppy seeds using pallets then how I transplant them to some containers.
