8월 페르세우스 유성우를 만나러 떠난 길에서
동해안의 작은 바닷가에서 생각지도 못한
일출을 선물 받았습니다.
손에 닿을 듯 작은 돌섬 뒤로
구름이 여명 빛으로 물들며
눈부신 해돋이가 시작됩니다.
끊어질 듯 끊어질 듯 이어지는
파도 소리가
정오의 폭염이 토해낼
숨소리 같습니다.

I got a present for the sunrise.
Behind a small stone island that seems to touch
The clouds are dyed with the light of dawn
The dazzling sunrise begins.
As if it would be cut off
The sound of the waves
Noon heatwave
It sounds like breathing.

기억도 가물가물한 몇 해 전 여름에, 하염없이 양철지붕에 비가 내렸습니다.
처음에는 양철지붕에 빗소리인 줄 몰랐지만,
어느새 소리에 빠져들고 있는 나를 발견했습니다.
보이는 것에 극도로 맞춰진 현대사회에 우리는 점점 청력을 잃어가고 있었습니다.
당연하듯이 받아들여지는 각종 소음과 소리…….
우리 감각은 균형을 잃고 청력은 점점 퇴화하고 있습니다.
한국의 숨겨져 있는 보석 같은 풍경과 그 속에 담긴 잃어버린 소리를 찾아
여러분과 같이 나누려고 합니다.
낯선 풍경에서 새로운 친구를 만나 같이 웃고 우는 시간이 되길 바랍니다.
IIn the summer of a few years ago, when I can't even remember, it rained on the tin roof without stopping.
