President Joe Biden is delivering remarks on the the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) after Congress agreed to renew the legislation last month, after it had expired in 2018. The legislation will ensure legal protections for any women— including Native American, transgender and immigrant women— from domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.
